Biography
April Ong Vaño is the Head of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) at Quest Ventures, a Singapore-based venture capital firm that invests in emerging markets. She leads the firm’s sustainability work and strategic ESG initiatives from Cebu, Philippines, supporting startups in scaling their impact. She has about ten years of experience in social innovation and sustainable development across government, nonprofit and private-sector projects, with a focus on microfinance for agriculture and access to clean water and energy. At Beyond EXPO Macau 2024, she explained how Quest Ventures builds ESG criteria into its investment decisions. She believes venture capital plays a pivotal role in sustainable innovation and technology.
