Begin with the end in mind, and this is exactly the driver of the 6th NICP Summit this year! Held on the 24 of October at the SMX Convention Center, Lanang, Davao City, the summit will be celebrated as an important side event of the weeklong international event “20th BIMP-EAGA and 2nd IMT-GT Trade Fair” from October 20-26.

Why is impact sourcing so important for the Philippines and for the rest of the ASEAN nations? This is because through improved information technology, least developed areas will be able to connect with the global economy with the end in mind of bringing about jobs such as call centers, back office responsibilities, and other processes that can be outsourced.

Impact sourcing is a key concept in the upcoming ASEAN Integration in 2015 as it is aimed at improving lives of those in underdeveloped territories under the BIMP-EAGA and IMT-GT through the improvement and utilization of information technology.

BPO or Business Process Outsourcing refers to a broad range of business outsourcing activity with the end view of improving one’s processing and eventually cutting costs. This system is especially helpful for companies with highly technical and niche positions that cannot be employed locally, or those with complex IT processes that can be administrated and managed externally.
